About Us

Rehoboth provides residential care and educational assistance to those living in the local community and an opportunity for independent living.

How we support the children

Rehoboth cares for and supports the needs of children and young people in the Philippines.

Rehoboth Home

Residential

Rehoboth cares for around 30 residents at the Children’s Home at any one time. The children are a mix of boys and girls and range from ages of 4 years old to 18 years old. The girls are accommodated in the main house whilst the boys live together in a separate house.
Rehoboth employs a number of local staff. Amy Tuquero, the Executive Director, heads up the team which includes social workers, tutors, house parents and other support staff. International volunteers also work at the Home.

Educational Assistance (REAP)

Rehoboth established REAP in 2008 to provide educational assistance for local families who are unable to send their children to school or college for financial reasons. REAP supports students while they are still living at home with their families.

As well as providing financial assistance Rehoboth monitors attendance and progress, maintains regular contact with schools and colleges, gives tutorials where possible and offers spiritual support.

Rehoboth independent living

Independent Living

Rehoboth established an Independent Living programme to enable older residents (over 18 years old) to transition from living in a residential setting to living independently.

These will often be students about to start college and are ready to learn how to manage their own money, time and responsibilities but still within the support structure of Rehoboth.
