The object of Rehoboth Educational Assistance Programme (REAP) is to expand the educational provision of Rehoboth Children’s Homes Trust into the local community of Sta Maria and a nearby town called Pugo. This is done by assisting local families to send their children, who would benefit from education, to school or college.

Students would remain in their own homes and study at a local school or college. Rehoboth is responsible for their tuition fees and uniform. Assistance towards other expenses such as books, stationary, field trips and transport, is dependent on parental income.

The students attendance and progress are monitored by a Rehoboth social worker or tutor who communicates regularly with the school or college. Report cards of the student are submitted to Rehoboth at the end of every semester. Once a month there is a meeting at Rehoboth for College REAP students to provide support, encouragement and some Christian input.

Families of REAP students as well as making a financial contribution where possible, are expected to support their children and enter into a partnership with Rehoboth.  This includes voluntary help at the Home and attending meetings concerning their child’s educational welfare. Rehoboth works together with the family to show the importance of a stable, loving and Christian environment.
