- The US Ambassador to the Philippines visited the Home Rehoboth at the beginning of June and was treated to a Tinikling dance by some of the Students .

U.S Ambassador Visit, Hon. Harry K. Thomas, Jr.
- His visit was a result of Rehoboth being selected to appear at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in July 2011. He is a strong advocate of the U.S. Peace Corps, and the Tinikling dancers, and came to wish them well.
- Singing residents graciously greeted the Ambassador, the Peace Corps Philippines country director, provincial and local government officials, DSWD representatives, the Tarlac College of Agriculture’s president and other visitors. Social workers Ella and Laraine guided the group on a tour of the Girls home, resource center, Boys home, and Eco-Learning Farm introducing Rehoboth’s programs, services and projects along the way.The program included an opening prayer led by Pastor Juvy, an inspirational song number by Rehoboth residents, and speeches from two tinikling dancers introducing their role at the festival and the history of the tinikling dance. Next, the dancers impressed the audience with an entertaining and suspenseful Tinikling performance. Finally, Ambassador Thomas addressed the audience.During his first message to the Festival participants, he stated, “We are happy that these dancers are going to Washington D.C. to the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and I am going to send a message to Washington D.C. today to tell all of our colleagues to go to the National Mall to see Tinikling. I hope that you enjoy all of Washington. I think that you will have a grand time.”Later, Ambassador Thomas expressed his gratitude to Rehoboth, “I want to thank all of you for the warmth that you have shown us today. They all deserve an opportunityHe then turned to Amy, the executive director of Rehoboth, and said, “Ma’am, saludo ako sa inyon lahat” which translates to “I salute you all.”The morning ended with a delicious catered lunch sponsored by the Governor of Tarlac.
